Welcome to the all-new Better Family Life, Inc. website. Thank you to our new and returning visitors for viewing our site. I hope you learn more about our wonderful organization and the work we do in the St. Louis community and around the country.
Better Family Life was founded out of a need to provide solutions to the challenges – economic, social injustice, crime, family dynamics, housing, workforce, foreclosure, etc.–within the American family and in urban communities. When this organization began close to three decades ago, our mission was to create a movement that promised changes in urban communities and among indigent and working families. Change in the workplace. Change in the housing market. Change in our health and wellness…and, change in the spirit.
Interestingly, the social and economical unrest of today mirrors the world of three decades ago. Indeed, we have seen explosive growth in technology, manufacturing, even the economy at times. However, as a community, we are still faced with many of the same crises of yesterday. This is why BFL remains relevant today! We proudly embrace, empower, and encourage individuals and families to overcome, step forward and excel through our programs, services and special events.
Our five departments—Community Outreach; Cultural Arts; Housing & Asset Development; Workforce Development; and Youth, Family and Clinical Services—are complete with enriching opportunities that offer individuals and families the resources needed to better their family lives, and overcome the social and economic obstacles that depress many.
Yet to continue our work, we need your support! Visit each page and familiarize yourself with our organization. Decide how you can best help, and then do your part! Register for a program, volunteer your services, become a member, or make a donation today to support and sustain our movement.
Be sure to give special attention to the all-new BFL Cultural, Educational and Business Center located at 5415 Page Blvd. It is our newest facility located in the heart of north St. Louis city. The programs, businesses, and special events facilitated at our new home will serve our valued supporters of many years as well as attract an international audience, bringing a new awareness of cultural and historical significance to the St. Louis community.
Again, thank you for your support. We look forward to serving your needs.
