The Unity Ball
The Unity Ball is Better Family Life's annual fundraiser. A Black-Tie African Attire event, the Ball is penned as St. Louis's premier winter holiday event of the year! The Unity Ball is Better Family Life’s major annual fundraiser whose proceeds help under-gird and support the educational and outreach programs designed to enrich families, improve neighborhoods, and develop healthier and safer communities.
The Unity Ball also serves as a platform to personally acknowledge and express gratitude to our current partners and recognize and welcome new partners. One of the highlights of the evening will be the traditional awards ceremony that honors outstanding corporate, civic, and community partners who daily commit to and deliver results on behalf of our region.

Black Dance - USA 2022
36th Anniversary
36 years is a long time to do something consistently, and here we are: celebrating the 36th anniversary of BLACK DANCE – USA: A Celebration in Movement.
This festival was inspired by our festival director, DeBorah D. Ahmed, who attended another national dance festival in New York some 38 years ago: Dance Black America held at New York’s Brooklyn Academy of Music.

All dance classes will be held online.
PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO JOIN VIRTUALLY FROM THE COMFORT OF THEIR HOMES. DANCERS AND MUSICIANS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY WILL HOST VIRTUAL CLASSES VIA ZOOM TO CREATE ASTOUNDING DANCE AND MUSIC. PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER TO RECEIVE THE CLASS LINK.
